How she practices
The reason so much of women's health goes unaddressed is rarely that it is hard to recognize. It is that recognizing it requires someone to sit with the whole picture at once — the cycle, the sleep, the mood, the labs, the history — and a fifteen-minute appointment does not allow for that.
Concierge practice is how Dr. Gomez solved that problem. Appointments are long enough to get through the actual conversation, you see the same provider each time, and the thread does not get dropped between visits. It is a structural answer to a structural problem, not a luxury add-on.
What she treats
Dr. Gomez practices general and preventative gynecology alongside a focused interest in hormones and pelvic health.
- Well-woman and annual exams — screening, Pap and HPV testing, contraception, and the whole-health conversation the visit is really for.
- Bleeding and pain conditions — heavy periods, fibroids, endometriosis, PCOS and abnormal uterine bleeding.
- Perimenopause and menopause — the sleep, mood, fog and cycle changes that get attributed to stress for years before anyone names them.
- Sexual health — desire, comfort and pain with sex, treated as the medical concerns they are.
- Pelvic floor and intimate health — urinary incontinence, dyspareunia (painful intercourse), vaginal dryness, and overall pelvic health.
- In-office procedures — diagnostic ultrasound, colposcopy, hysteroscopy and IUD placement, with Pro-Nox calming gas available for comfort.
- Minimally invasive robotic surgery — where an operation is the right step, she performs it herself rather than referring you to a surgeon you have never met.
Hormones, perimenopause and menopause
This is the area Dr. Gomez is most known for locally, and the one patients most often travel to see her about.
Her approach starts from the position that perimenopause is a clinical diagnosis — built from your age, your cycle pattern and your symptoms — rather than something a single lab value settles. Hormone levels swing day to day during the transition, which is why women are so often told their bloodwork is normal while they feel anything but.
Where treatment is appropriate, hormone replacement therapy* — carve-out service, see the Products & Services Disclaimer at the bottom of this page is tailored to your history rather than run from a protocol, and delivery is matched to you — creams, patches, oral therapy or Biote pellets* — carve-out service, see the Products & Services Disclaimer at the bottom of this page. Where it is not appropriate, she will tell you that too. A personal or family history of certain cancers, blood clots, liver disease or cardiovascular disease genuinely changes the calculation, and that is a conversation rather than a form.
Pelvic floor and sexual health
Bladder leakage when you laugh or sneeze, vaginal dryness, and dyspareunia — pain with intercourse — are extremely common and substantially under-treated, in large part because they are awkward to raise in a short appointment with someone you have just met.
Dr. Gomez is trained in advanced non-surgical pelvic floor treatments, including the EmpowerRF platform* — carve-out service, see the Products & Services Disclaimer at the bottom of this page — VTone* — carve-out service, see the Products & Services Disclaimer at the bottom of this page for urinary incontinence, FormaV* — carve-out service, see the Products & Services Disclaimer at the bottom of this page for dryness and comfort, and Morpheus8V* — carve-out service, see the Products & Services Disclaimer at the bottom of this page. Anything surgical or interventional beyond the office is arranged as a coordinated referral.
Where you'll read her
Dr. Gomez writes the clinical explainers in the Altavida Journal — including the guides to perimenopause, menopause weight gain, fibroids and endometriosis. They are written to answer the question a patient actually typed, at the length the answer deserves.
What she's after
Dr. Gomez is passionate about creating an environment where women feel empowered, informed, and supported in making their own health decisions. That is a different goal than simply treating what someone came in for, and it changes how a visit runs — more explaining, more context, fewer instructions issued without a reason attached.
She remains dedicated to making a positive, lasting impact on the health and well-being of women, and that is the standard the rest of the practice is built to.
Outside the office
Beyond her role as a physician, Dr. Gomez is a devoted wife and a mother of two boys — which gives her a personal understanding that resonates with her patients. Her compassionate, holistic approach to care has earned her a reputation as a trusted provider across the Tampa Bay area.
